COVID-19 Update
It has been very challenging times for everyone and finally, I am excited to announce the reopening of Element Sports Massage & Acupuncture this Friday the 17th in Dawlish. The current opening time in Dawlish (treatment room above Poppadums ) will be Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 3 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. Appointments need to be made in advance, so please email elementsportsmassage@hotmail.com or call 07460620288. I am still working on the reopening in Exeter, and I will provide an update later when I have the confirmation.
Due to the current situation of COVID-19, I have undertaken a detailed risk assessment and adopted extensive procedures to mitigate the risks of infection spread as much as possible and to meet all regulations and guidelines outlined by Public Health England, World Health Organisation (WHO), and my association the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

There are some changes in the process to be aware of to ensure the highest infection control. Here is the overview of procedures:

-
All clients need to keep on top of screening yourself for symptoms of coronavirus. A COVID-19 CLIENT QUESTIONNAIRE /DECLARATION form needs to be filled and signed before your appointment.

-
If you experience these symptoms, however mild, please contact us as soon as you can to change your booking and use the NHS online coronavirus service to check your symptoms and request a test. Please follow the NHS guidance given to you and the guidelines for contact tracing and self-isolation. See the links below

Information on self-isolation: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/self-isolation-and-treatment/

-
The treatment room in Dawlish is accessible through Poppadum Health Food premises and all clients need to wear masks when entering a shop according to the latest government guideline. I will ask all clients to wear a mask throughout your appointment, on arrival, you will be asked to wash or sanitize your hands, there are extra facilities to allow for this, and practice social distancing at all points that are possible during your appointment.

-
I have modified our diary to ensure there are 30 minutes between appts to reduce client to client contact, allow for changing of PPE, and allow for the hygiene procedure.

-
Therapists will be wearing PPE, namely single-use medical examination gloves, a mask, and a visor.

-
All surfaces and items used in the treatment will be strictly cleaned and disinfected between clients.

-
If you are someone that has been identified as being ‘extremely vulnerable’ to developing severe illness from contracting Covid-19 and have been advised to shield by the NHS during this time, we advise that you protect yourself by following official guidance. If you are classed as vulnerable as being aged above 70 years, please contact us to discuss your appointment.

-
There will be no use of our waiting areas, therefore, please only arrive and enter the premises no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time.

It is very important that you only attend an appointment if you are safe and well to do so.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation and support.

We look forward to seeing you all again.
